LA MESA INTERCULTURAL DE CÓMPETA
¿QUÉ ES UNA MESA INTERCULTURAL?
Es un organismo que se constituye de forma autónoma e independiente, en el cual están representados los diferentes agentes sociales del municipio.
Estas Mesas intercultural se están constituyendo dentro del proyecto “Acercando Culturas”, que la Diputación Provincial de Málaga lleva realizando, desde el año 2005, en varios municipios de la provincia.
FUNCIONES DE LA MESA:
ü Facilitar el acogimiento y Integración de inmigrantes en sociedad
ü Tener un conocimiento y análisis actualizado de los cambios culturales en el municipio.
ü Poner en marcha proyectos de actuación adecuados a la realidad social del pueblo.
ü Coordinar las actuaciones de todos los agentes sociales que participan en el foro.
OBJETIVOS DE LA MESA:
ü Análisis continuo y acción conjunta que ayuda en las problemáticas de los inmigrantes presentes en el municipio.
ü Alcanzar la participación y la coordinación efectiva de los Agentes Sociales e Instituciones en el municipio.
ü Promover proyectos organizados por diferentes grupos culturales y la población local para
promover el conocimiento intercultural.
ü Impulsar proyectos de trabajo en red y de intervención para la población inmigrante y local en el marco de las líneas del proyecto.
PARTICIPANTES EN LA MESA:
Representantes de:
ü Ayuntamiento,
ü Comunidad Educativa,
ü El sector empresarial,
ü Área Sanitaria,
ü Servicios Sociales,
ü Representativas de colectivos extranjeros,
ü Parroquia.
ü Asociaciones (mujeres, jóvenes, extranjeros, y otras) del Municipio.
ACTIVIDADES QUE REALIZAN:
ü Reuniones periódicas de la mesa.
ü Coordinación Comarcal de mesas intercultural
ü Asamblea anual de las mesas.
ü Días interculturales.
ü Charlas de Asesoría Jurídica.
ü Talleres de conocimiento otras culturas.
ü Muestras gastronómicas.
ü Semanas interculturales en los colegios.
ü Charlas sobre la interculturalidad.
ü Jornadas formativas.
ü Otras que la propia mesa estime conveniente.
WHAT IS THE CÓMPETA “INTERCULTURAL FORUM”?
It is an independent discussion group, made up of representatives from the different nationalities, societies and organisations in the community.
These forums were established as part of the “Bringing Cultures Together” project initiated by the Diputación Provincial de Málaga and have been functioning since 2005, in various towns and villages in the province.
AIMS OF THE FORUM:
ü To promote the integration of all cultures into Spanish and local society.
ü To have an awareness and understanding of cultural changes in the community.
ü To initiate projects relevant to the needs of the community in Cómpeta.
ü Coordinate the activities of all the representatives of different groups and organizations who participate in the forum.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FORUM:
ü Continuous analysis of and action to assist with issues faced by all foreign citizens in Cómpeta.
ü Achieve the participation and effective coordination of all institutions and social representatives in Cómpeta.
ü Promote projects organised by various cultural groups and the local population aimed at promoting intercultural awareness and inclusion.

ü Health Sector,
ü Social Services,
ü Foreign residents
ü The Parish,
ü Various Cómpeta Associations (Women, Youth, Non-Spanish residents, and others).

ü Annual assembly of forums.
ü Intercultural Days.
ü Seminars on legal issues.
ü Workshops on learning about other cultures.
ü Gastronomic workshops.
ü Intercultural week in the school.
ü Seminars on Intercultural understanding.
ü Informative workshops on different issues of interest to the local and foreign community.
ü Other projects that the forum finds relevant to and suitable for the community.
